Property and maintenance managers know that air eventually penetrates the chamber of thermal pane windows, carrying moisture with it. Most commercial windows are constructed with the capacity to absorb and hide moisture. When moisture becomes visible, the gut reaction has been that the seal has failed, and the window must be replaced. In fact, visible condensation is a sign that the sealed unit has simply reached its moisture threshold.

When this mist point is reached, the dangers to window clarity begin.  Moisture becomes a permanent adherent to the glass and progressively leaves deposits, diminishes insulating properties, and permanently scars and corrodes the glass.
